Giving up the Day Job...

... Means that I can do all those really exciting things like:

- The laundry
- The weekly shop
- Go to Weight Watchers
- Tidying the house.....

But it also means I can spend more time doing cool things like making these gorgeous baby booties (these are actually for a friend's baby, but they will also get listed as a made to order item in my shop):

and then embellishing them with rockets and planets :-)

It is SO nice to be able to say 'I LOVE my job'!

Now I've got to get on with my tax return - I've been putting it off!

But in between I'll be catching up with everyone over on the Handmade Monday link up :-)

  1. Laundry? Tidying the house? They will only need doing again, so leave them and enjoy yourself. The booties are lovely, great fun and a gorgeous colour. Hope you have a good YOU week.

  3. What gorgeous little booties - and they are of course far more important than laundry and tidying.

  4. I much prefer your efforts at making booties in comparison to having to do the housework. It's so distracting being at home. I love the rocket and planet design so cute.

  5. I am sure that laundry and tidying will not make you as happy as making thee gorgeous booties did. Stick with what makes you happy is what I say!

  6. I'm in the same boat as you - first time I've ever loved my job, it's a revelation isn't it (the tax return malarky is not so much fun, but really a small price to pay I think)! Seems like you've made the right decision to me - these are just too cute! Love the rocket in particular!

  9. Seems likes I have even less time for those things since I started working from home :-D

The booties look great, perfect for a little boy.

    1. Thanks Stephen! I think once I get into a groove with the work I probably won't worry so much about the housework so much - at the moment it's a bit of a novelty!!
